The Sheillah was worn on the kepis of the men of the Fighting 69th and the Irish Brigade during the Civil War. Other Irish-Americans fighting on both sides during the war wore a Sheillah on their cap or uniform jacket to indicate their heritage. This pin has an antique bronze finish. |
