Product Description
Battlefield monuments honor the brave men and a courageous woman, Clara Barton, who fought or otherwise served at Antietam. Your support dollars fund cleaning and preservation of the park’s 100+ monuments and more than 250 historical tablets.
In May of 2010, the generous donations of several people and organizations enabled the park to restore the 48th Pennsylvania monument. For several years, the statue of General Nagle had been missing its sword. With nearly $9,000.00 in donations, an expert replica of the original sword was made and the monument was fully restored.
Donations are tax-deductible and may be given in $20 increments. Simply use the quantity button on your order page to raise the amount.
For each gift of $20 we will send you a certificate with your name, your group’s name or your ancestor’s name and unit with the monument of your choice on it. It’s an easy way for individuals, schools, Scout groups and Civil War organizations to show their support for Antietam Battlefield.
On the Shipping Information page you will fill in the name of the monument you wish to adopt and add your dedication text.
Thank you for helping to preserve Antietam National Battlefield!
